Faraday at Ekoparty 2023

Another Ekoparty has come to an end, and we are very happy  to have participated in the largest party of the infosec and hacker community in Latin America. ❤️

It was three days of breaking the routine and connecting with the community and old friends. Three days of learning and discovering new technologies, tools, and innovations.

Many things happened in this conference, but especially people.

🔹 More than 3000 people visited our booth, picked up stickers and merchandise, and shared their inquiries and ideas with us.

🔹 We had 8 participants in the Eko Training on IoT devices security, provided by our team of researchers, Javier and Octavio.

🔹 Over 110 individuals took on the challenge of the CTF they created. It consisted of 4 CTF with different levels of cleverness and knowledge. The two winning teams received a Nintendo.

🔹 A specialty coffee at our booth has become a tradition to delight and pamper those who come to meet us and visit us. Over 500 people took away their coffee to enjoy Ekoparty with a different flavor and a lot of energy.

🔹 Many showed interest and spoke with our sales team, who must have conducted almost 100 demos over the three days of the conference.

We were part of the Main track with a presentation on two vulnerabilities in IP cameras. We also gave a talk about an experiment with a virtual machine for our Sponsor track. Additionally, we presented two Open Source tools in the Ekotools section: “Emploleaks” and “Faraday Vulnerability Management & Pentesting Platform.”

It was a record-breaking year for participation in talks and presentations by our team. Congratulations to all of you! 🎉

Cybersecurity is a large group of people working to make the world a safer place. At Faraday, we are motivated to develop and work on solutions that add value to the community and assist companies and cybersecurity professionals. But most importantly, we take pride in forming relationships and, together with Ekoparty, being part of this story.

We want to thank our talented team members who gave their all at this event and do so throughout the year with Faraday.

We also express our gratitude to the entire Ekoparty organization for providing this space and connecting us with this incredible community that continues to grow. ⚡

Se nos fue otra Ekoparty y estamos muy felices y satisfechos por haber participado de la fiesta más grande de la comunidad infosec y hacker de Latinoamérica. ❤️

Fueron tres días de anti-rutina, y de conectar con la comunidad y con viejas amistades. Tres días de aprendizajes y de conocer nuevas tecnologías, herramientas y descubrimientos.

En tres días pasaron muchísimas cosas, pero especialmente personas.

🔹 Más de 3000 personas pasaron por nuestro stand y se llevaron stickers, merch y compartieron con nosotros consultas e ideas. 

🔹 Tuvimos 8 participantes del Eko Training sobre seguridad en dispositivos IoT, brindado por nuestro equipo de investigadores, Javier y Octavio.

🔹  Más de 110 personas se desafiaron con el CTF que ellos también crearon. Estuvo compuesto por 4 desafíos con diferentes niveles de ingenio y conocimiento. Los dos equipos ganadores se llevaron una Nintendo. 

🔹 Ya es un clásico de la casa, el café de especialidad en nuestro stand para agasajar y mimar a quienes se acercan a conocernos y visitarnos. Fueron más de 500 personas las que se llevaron su café para disfrutar la Eko con otro sabor y mucha energía.

🔹 Muchos se interesaron y hablaron con nuestro equipo de ventas, quien debe haber generado casi 100 demos en los tres días de conferencia.

Fuimos parte del Main track de charlas con una investigación sobre dos vulnerabilidades en cámaras IP. Y también brindamos una charla sobre un experimento con virtual machine para nuestro Sponsor track. Además, presentamos dos tools #opensource en la sección Ekotools: “Emploleaks” y “Faraday Vulnerability Management & Pentesting Platform”.

Fue el año con récord de participación en charlas y presentaciones de nuestro equipo. ¡Felicitaciones a todxs ustedes! 🎉

La ciberseguridad es un gran grupo de personas trabajando para hacer un mundo más seguro. Desde Faraday nos motiva desarrollar y trabajar en soluciones que suman valor a la comunidad y ayudan a las empresas y especialistas en ciberseguridad. Pero principalmente nos enorgullece formar relaciones y, junto con la Eko, ser parte de esta historia.

Queremos agradecer a nuestros talentos que lo dieron todo en este evento y que lo hacen todo el año con Faraday.
