Faraday 5.23 is focused on giving security teams a clearer, more customizable way to communicate risk, while continuing to sharpen the day-to-day security procedures . This release introduces a brand-new Executive Report builder, a redesigned General Dashboard, cleaner and more consistent asset data, and a set of workflow improvements that remove friction from daily operations.

A New Way to Build Executive Reports
Executive reporting gets a complete overhaul. The previous generator — which produced separate, fixed PDF and DOCX outputs — is replaced by a unified, visual report builder built around a single HTML → PDF flow.
Reports are now composed section by section, from a library of reusable, reorderable building blocks:
- Rich text
- Severity summary
- Vulnerability and asset tables
- Charts
- Lists
- Custom HTML/Jinja blocks
For recurring reporting cycles, templates can be saved and reused, and a new “Clone and update” action lets you regenerate a past report with fresh data in a couple of clicks — no need to rebuild it from scratch every time.
Reports can be exported to PDF, HTML, or CSV, depending on how they’ll be consumed.
The result is a reporting workflow that adapts to how your organization actually communicates risk, instead of forcing every audience into the same fixed template.

A Redesigned General Dashboard
The default workspace dashboard has been rebuilt from the ground up. The new General Dashboard ships with five widgets, each aimed at giving teams a faster read on where things stand:
- Remediación — confirmed open vs. closed vulnerabilities.
- By Severity — confirmed open/re-opened findings by severity, with filters for confirmed/unconfirmed and closed/not closed.
- Workspace Risk — the successor to Average Risk.
- Latest Findings — confirmed, open/re-opened findings, sorted by severity.
- Activity Feed — now also reflecting uploads made through the UI, not just programmatic imports.
Widgets can be added, removed, resized, and rearranged, and the layout you choose persists per user — so each analyst can shape the dashboard around how they work.
Cleaner, More Consistent Asset Data
The Assets table and details view have been normalized so the same fields behave the same way everywhere, at both the top level and inside a workspace. Search, the column selector, and the details view now consistently expose Command, Creation Time, Description, Importance, MAC Address, Owner, Parameters, Tags, Vulnerabilities, and Total Risk Score.
A few naming and structural changes come with this:
- The Asset column is now Name.
- Owner replaces the User label in asset details.
- Risk Score is renamed Total Risk Score.
- Open Services is removed from the table and column selector, replaced by a dedicated Servicios table (name, port, status) inside asset details.
The result is asset data that’s easier to search, compare, and report on, with fewer inconsistencies between views.

A set of workflow improvements shipped in this release to reduce friction in daily use:
- Vulnerability reports can now be imported by dropping files directly onto the dashboard and manage sections, with drag feedback.
- A new CSV download button on the general vulnerabilities table exports “as you see, as you get” — the current search-bar filters and configured columns, exactly as displayed.
- The Runners & Security Scanners view now includes a search bar filtering by status, last execution date, last execution tool, tools, category, and blocked, with a context-aware placeholder based on the active tab.
- The user avatar has moved from the navbar to the sidebar, and the theme toggle from the menu to the navbar — the same dropdown options and behavior remain.
- SAML user roles are now re-synced from the assertion on every login, instead of only at user creation.
- All active sessions are now invalidated after a successful password change, forcing re-authentication.
