Desde hace 9 años somos parte de esta conferencia de hackers y apasionados de la ciberseguridad. Nuestros socios fundadores Federico Kirschbaum y Francisco Amato son también los creadores de este evento que reúne anualmente a más de 10000 geeks de la ciberseguridad y el pentesting.

Welcome to another year with Faraday at the largest Latin American cybersecurity party, Ekoparty!

For the past 9 years, we’ve been a part of this conference for hackers and cybersecurity enthusiasts. Our founding partners, Federico Kirschbaum and Francisco Amato, are also the creators of this event that annually brings together over 10000 cybersecurity and pentesting geeks.

La primera actividad de Ekoparty esta a cargo de nuestro equipo de investigación liberado por Javier Aguinaga y el investigador Semi Senior Octavio Gianatiempo, van a estar a cargo del EkoTraining de este año. Se trata de una actividad presencial y en español donde vas a aprender cómo explotar vulnerabilidades en dispositivos embebidos y más! “Hands on vulnerability research on embedded devices”, los días 30 y 31 de Octubre.

The first Ekoparty activity is led by our research team, headed by Javier Aguinaga and Senior Researcher Octavio Gianatiempo. They will be in charge of this year’s EkoTraining. It’s an in-person, Spanish-language event where you’ll learn how to exploit vulnerabilities in embedded devices and more! It’s called “Hands-on Vulnerability Research on Embedded Devices” and will take place on October 30th and 31st.

For this edition, which will be held at the CEC in the City of Buenos Aires, we’ve prepared a booth filled with information, surprises, and challenges to put your knowledge into action. Javier y Octavio también van a presentar una charla interesantísima “Sadprotocol Goes To Hollywood: Hijacking An Ip Camera Stream As Seen In The Movies”. Se trata de una vulnerabilidad que encontraron usando dos zero-days de EZVIZ para hackear camaras IP.

Es la primera vez que la presentan en Latinoamérica después de Defcon y estará completamente en español. Les dejamos los detalles acá.

Javier and Octavio will also present “Sadprotocol Goes To Hollywood: Hijacking An IP Camera Stream As Seen In The Movies.” talk. It’s about a vulnerability they discovered using two EZVIZ zero-days to hack IP cameras. This is the first time they’re presenting it in Latin America after Defcon, and it will be entirely in Spanish. Find all the details here.

Faraday started as an open-source tool available for everyone, making vulnerability management and pentesting accessible to many. This tool now has paid versions to continue being used by thousands of security teams and pentesters. Check out Faraday Community.

Our Head of Security Services, Gabriel Franco, and researcher Javier Aguinaga will be presenting “EmploLeaks: Finding Leaked Employee Info for the Win” an open-source tool that searches for leaked employee email and password information in various LinkedIn profiles. Read all about this tool.

Finally, we invite you to join the Sponsor Track talk by Javier Aguinaga, “A cheap way for virtual machine escaping.” Javier will demonstrate different ways to escape a virtualized environment by exploiting features like the shared clipboard or shared folders between the host and the virtual machine.
